The project for Preservation of Historical Libraries of Arequipa received front page coverage in the July 12, 2008 edition of the daily El Pueblo. The well illustrated article described the methods and activities of the project team and also provided a side column on the cataloging at Recoleta. The excited story headline was: “The Recoleta library is opened to the world as our books are read on five continents!”
